Santa Fe Springs, California - Aberdeen LLC, the Custom Server Solution Provider, presents the most robust all-inclusive storage and backup server to date, the Aberdeen Stirling X524. The 5U rackmount Aberdeen Stirling X524, dubbed the "TeraStorus," is the newest addition to the Aberdeen revolutionary line of backup storage servers. Aberdeen revolutionized the backup storage community by introducing the 2TB "Backup Monster" for under $5000. Just a few months later the 4U "TeraBuster" was launched with double the capacity.  The "TeraStorus" establishes a new server storage standard by offering a scalable rackmount storage server that can provide up to 21TB of SATA storage and beyond. By utilizing the included external SCSI connection the 6TB TeraStorus can be supersized through the addition of up to five 3TB RAID storage expansion boxes per SCSI connector, thus creating a scalable NAS server.

Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) is a vast improvement over the venerable IDE disk drives and provides several benefits. SATA is faster and more efficient due to the use of point-to-point technology that provides a starting transfer rate of 150 Mbyte/s. the primary benefit of a disk-to-disk SATA storage server such as the TeraStorus, is it provides an exponentially faster and more accurate backup than traditional tape.  By utilizing the disk backup feature, routine progressive or full backups can be easily scheduled within multiple OS platforms for full interoperability in heterogeneous environments.
