server solutions, Aberdeen LLC also creates backup solutions for its
customers. Dubbed the Backup Monster Series but nicknamed the Backup Monsters,
the additions to Aberdeen's line of servers were designed to provide
scalable and affordable backup solutions for the shared network
environment," writes Ed Miseta. The competitive advantage of
the Backup Monster is not just the unbelievably low cost of $2.50 per gigabyte of storage but
it is the utilization of hard disk storage, which is exponentially
faster and more accurate than the traditional tape backup. The
Backup Monster is a complete backup storage and disaster recovery solution,
when configured with the optional CD-RW, internal tape drive and redundant
power supply.
Alternatives to the
costly tape only solutions have been few and far between. "Midsized organizations with a single facility and
multiple servers face a challenge with their backups. Those backups are
cumbersome and an annoyance. As a result, they are oftentimes postponed or
ignored altogether. We set out to make the task easy and automatic."

Time Objective) which is basically the acceptable time till
