Unparalleled Storage Density
The new T-Series XDAS subsystem features 8Gb FC-AL host performance to increase system efficiency and performance. It features high capacity expansion, with 42 hot-swappable SAS2/SATA3 hard disk drive bays in a 19-inch 4U rackmount unit, scaling to a maximum storage capacity in the terabyte range. The XDAS T-Series also supports dual controllers which provide better fault tolerance and higher reliability of system operation.
Exceptional Manageability
-The firmware-embedded Web Browser-based RAID manager allows local or remote management and configuration
-The firmware-embedded SMTP manager monitors all system events and user notification automatically
-The firmware-embedded SNMP agent allows remote to monitor events via LAN with no SNMP agent required
-Menu-driven front panel display
-Innovative Modular architecture
8Gb Fibre Channel
Fibre Channel is the predominant architecture upon which SAN implementations are built. Fibre Channel is a technology standard that allows data to be transferred from one network node to another at extremely high speeds. The XDAS T-Series features the fastest available fibre channel standard speed of 8Gbps. The Fibre Channel standard is accredited by many standards bodies, technical
associations, vendors, and industry-wide consortiums. There are many products on the market that take advantage of FC’s high-speed, high-availability characteristics.
SAS 2.0 6G Expander
The 6G technology was developed to address the increasing demand for greater data transfer speed in order to cope with new IO performance requirements needed for information technology and video editing applications. Current 3Gbps performance on the SAS expander is limited to 1200MB/s in bandwidth and generates about 700MB/s under RAID 6. By using the 6G technology, including 6G SAS and SATA drives, as well as 6G RAID controllers and host adapters 6G SAS expander storages are capable of reaching over 1500MB/s under RAID applications.
