Stirling 267 - VMware ESXi 5.0 / Fault Tolerance Ready
vSphere Fault Tolerance (FT) provides continuous availability for applications in the event of server failures, by creating a live shadow instance of a virtual machine that is in virtual lockstep with the primary instance. By allowing instantaneous failover between the two instances in the event of hardware failure, FT eliminates even the smallest chance of data loss or disruption.
Maximize uptime in your datacenter and reduce downtime management costs by enabling vSphere Fault Tolerance (FT) for your virtual machines. FT provides zero downtime, zero data loss, and continuous availability for your applications, without the cost and complexity of traditional hardware or software clustering solutions.
Certified for Windows Server 2008 R2 and Designed for Windows Server 2003
The industry standards that designate technical compliance and quality-assurance with specific functions of Windows Server computing. The Stirling 267 allows administrators to integrate with confidence.
Higher I/O Connectivity
The custom configurable Stirling 267 rackmount server features dual IOH chipset configuration for higher I/O connectivity, up to 72 lanes
for PCI Express 2.0. The Stirling 267 features an incredible
seven PCI Express 2.0 slots, with one slot reserved for use by the RAID controller. This allows for up to six slots of add-on cards such as GbE or 10GbE network interface controllers and 8Gb Fibre Channel adapters for storage expansion.
Intelligent Platform Management Interface
For hardware-level platform monitoring and control functions, the IPMI protocol utilizes an out-of-band network to provide a flawless and secure path for mission-critical applications when regular in-band connectivity is lost or is unresponsive. Remote access for monitoring and administration allows the server administrators to view a server's hardware status remotely, receive an alarm automatically if a failure occurs, and power cycle a system that is non-responsive.
Total System Intel Virtualization Technology Support
Intel Virtualization Technology (
Intel VT-x) offers investment protection and infrastructure flexibility with multigeneration VM migration across the full range of 32-bit and 64-bit configurations, enabling bigger VM pools.
Intel Virtualization Technology for Connectivity (
Intel VT-c) provides hardware-assisted I/O that accelerates network performance and simplifies VM migration.
Intel Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (
Intel VT-d) helps speed data movement and eliminates much of the performance
overhead by giving designated VMs their own dedicated I/O devices, reducing the overhead of the VM migration in managing I/O traffic.
Virtual Machine Device Queues
Boosts network I/O to meet the demands of consolidated virtual workloads. Multiple Virtual Machines (VMs) introduce heavy traffic-management demands that servers must meet in order to ensure scalability and get the full value of virtualization.
VMDq optimizes the processing of VM data traffic by routing them to the correct virtual machines at the chipset level and offloading the hypervisor to improve CPU utilization and bandwidth.
Intel I/O Acceleration Technology
Today's multi-port GbE and 10GbE network adapters deliver enormous data flows that require advanced server I/O subsystems to avoid performance bottlenecks.
Intel I/OAT improves data flow across the platform to enhance system performance while reducing system overhead.
