What is XDAS-HD Video Storage?
 The Aberdeen XDAS-HD, which is part of the XDAS Series
Direct Attached Storage line, can deliver an industry
leading 1700MB/s transfer rate in Dual SAS card
configuration and up to 1180MB/s in single SAS card
configuration. The XDAS Mini provides nearline storage
via an external SAS RAID Controller.
With this untouchable performance the
XDAS-HD provides the ability to not only handle simple
1080i HD streams but it is robust enough to edit and
review as many as 10 HD video streams simultaneously
without any frame skips and stream 4K projects
flawlessly.

File Transfers
 The extreme speeds of up to 1700MB/s are achieved via the
3.5" SAS 15k drives in dual SAS RAID performance within
a 16-bay chassis. With numbers like 1700MB/s the XDAS-HD is
faster than a single Fibre 4G or even 10Gb Ethernet
connections. Aberdeen bundles this high performance XDAS-HD
with ultra high-speed Atto SAS RAID controllers to achieve
the untouchable performance speeds for high speed file
transfers in
applications like high definition real time video editing
and uncompressed 4K transfers or other
speed crucial transactions.
Aberdeen offers additional models for cost and
capacity considerations. The XDAS-HD is available in both 2U
12-bay and 3U 16-bay solutions, employing 3.5" SAS or
SATA
drives. All of our HD storage solution enclosures are designed with dual
host and cascade paths for further capacity expansion.
