The FIC KA11 is a high-performance Pentium III ready motherboards supporting the PC-133 standard. With 133 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) and support for 133 MHz SDRAM, these motherboards bring end-users the most advanced levels of performance available today, while moving towards bridging the gap between system performance and ever increasing processor speeds.
As well as supporting the Slot-1 architecture, both motherboards offer the end-user the option of using the Socket 370 architecture and running the Intel FCPGA Coppermine or the Intel Celeron(tm) PPGA processor, through a CPU converter card. Support for the AGP 4x bandwidth increases the AGP bus from 66 MHz to 133 MHz, providing significantly improved data transfer speeds for graphics applications and reducing power consumption.
Based around the state-of-the-art architecture of the new VIA Apollo Pro 694X and 596B chipset, the ATX sized KA11 has 4 DIMM for up to 1 GB of SDRAM.
Support for the Ultra DMA/66 protocol and its high-speed interface further ensures that data transfer speeds are improved, especially for long sequential transfers required by audio/visual applications. Other features include onboard audio, Auto Power Failure Recovery and Keyboard/Mouse Power On functions.
