ADVANTAGE - The Aberdeen AberSAN i100 solution features a flexible
framework for a highly scalable SAN environment by utilizing the
iSCSI protocol. The i100 is designed with PCI Express and Extended Memory 64
Technology (EM64T) and the Intel® Xeon™ processors, DDR2 400MHz ECC memory,
dual gigabit NICs, and with dual OS drives to allow for RAID 1
disk mirroring providing system failover and the best
fault-tolerance in a multi-user system. The impressive feature
to the 1U AberSAN iSCSI storage server gateway is the ability to
be coupled with Aberdeen XDAS RAID storage subsystems that
deliver up to 18TB per box. The key advantage to the XDAS is it takes advantage
of disk-to-disk SATA storage via either SCSI cabling or Fibre channel cabling
and can be daisy-chained to provide larger

The highly
scalable XDAS offers a flexible
framework for building and managing cost-effective SATA RAID
storage solutions. The scalable XDAS subsystems can provide from
2TB in a
standard 2U up to 18 terabytes in a 4Uand up to 6.4TB in a 3U format.
Bundled with either an Aberdeen Stirling server or AberSAN iSCSI solution
or included in the
AberSAN-FC Starter Kit a
pure Fibre Channel SAN solution, the XDAS scalable
DAS delivers a storage capacity with the ability to add 3 XDAS units
per SCSI port and up to 7 XDAS units per Fibre port. Daisy-chaining
a with an Aberdeen XDAS subsystem can easily result in storage
capacities in excess of (1PB) 1 petabyte.
