 The AberNAS LX-Series
storage appliance features a 64bit Linux-based 3rd
generation OS and
provides an all purpose integrated storage plus iSCSI SAN functionality. The
64bit line of AberNAS LX Series is builds upon features
found in the previous 32bit optimized NAS for overall
file serving performance.
Some improvements include; an more user friendly
redesigned GUI, maximum OS memory support has increased
from 4GB to 1TB and the previous 16TB single array
volume size limitation has been removed and increased up
to 8EB (Exabytes) in a single virtual RAID array.
Additional enterprise features have been added to
provide; iSCSI-3 persistent reservation which provides advanced
clustering support, NAS-to-NAS folder/file iSCSI
replication, support for up to 32 volume snapshots and
soon to be VMware Ready certified in Q2 2011.
